The Green NGO Award

This award is open to Non- profits, NGOs and other Third Sector Organizations who have used activism to support a strong environmental cause, influence policy decisions or stimulate a behavioral change in individuals or communities.

In the application form, you have to explain your environmental targets, describe the campaigns,promotions or green initiatives that your organization have carried out to support its cause, and highlight the environmental benefits and positive changes that you were able to achieve to date.

The Green Education Award

This award is open to NGOs, Ministries, Students and Students councils in universities that have developed any program, awareness campaign, research or activity aiming to preserve the natural world for future generations.

 

In your application form, you have to describe the project, its benefits to the environment, how it is implemented and the opportunities for the future.

The Green Media Award

This award is open to journalists, bloggers, individuals or team from TV, magazines, newspapers and radio that have done an episode, report, publicity, film or music on the environment with the potential to bring constructive change and to broadly increase public awareness and understanding of issues focusing on the environment.

The participants in this category has to submit a summary about their production including its description, environmental aim and the targeted audience in addition to a short video of 5 minutes maximum.

The Green Industry Award

This award is open to industrials that have accomplished a project, initiative, or program with environmental benefits.

In the application form, the benefits of the achievement should be demonstrated through a comparison of the condition before implementation of the project, initiative or program to the condition after implementation using life-cycle analysis, risk analysis or other performance measures.

The Green Individual Award

This award is open to anyone that is working on an individual basis to create a more sustainable place to live and work; or to someone who has demonstrated original leadership in the field of sustainability. For example, an individual’s house using only green energy sources.

In the application form, the applicant has to describe his/her green achievement, how it has been achieved, the benefits to the environment, and how it can be duplicated by including the cost.

The Green Hospitality Award

This award is open to Hotels, Guesthouses, Resorts, Restaurants & Bars, Caterers, Golf Clubs, Campsites, and Tourism Enterprises that have adopted green practices in their businesses such as reducing waste, recycling water, serving organic food, protecting biodiversity, etc. and showed an environmental commitment to promoting sustainability and responsible business behavior.

In the application form, you will have to demonstrate your business’ commitment to supporting sustainability, explain how the adoption of green practices and environmental management made you different from other organizations within the hospitality sector, and describe the benefits of your green practice to the society and the environment.

The Green Community Award

This award is open to any village, town or city or community group that is working together to create a more sustainable place to live and work.

In the application form, you have to explain your green targets and how this is achieved in a collective approach including the following achievements:

  • energy savings
  • water savings
  • improvements in recycling
  • bio-diversity benefits
  • CO2 savings
  • Reduction in environmental pollution
The Green Innovation Award

This award is open to anyone who has developed a new product or service that delivers Environmental benefits.

In the application form, you have to:

  • explain and detail the environmental benefits of the innovation
  • quantify what your innovation has achieved to date
  • develop its potential if it were taken up more widely
  • and the potential of Green jobs creation
The Green CSR Award

This award is open to CSR Departments at companies of any business type who have initiated a green campaign, project or activity in support of the environment, engaged corporates in meaningful sustainability strategies and programs, and made a green achievement that sets an example to follow for other arising corporations.

In the application form, you will have to describe your green campaign, project, or activity; demonstrate how it shows your commitment to promoting sustainability and preserving the environment; and explain the benefits that is has achieved to the date.

The Green Woman of the earth Award

This award is open to women who have been strongly and dedicatedly active in the environmental field, who have made a green achievement in their country or region, and who stand for the protection and preservation of Mother Earth.

In the application form, you will have to explain your green achievement, demonstrate the positive and social impact of your endeavor, and indicate the difficulties that you might have faced as a woman to accomplish your project, and what added value did ‘being a woman’ bring to your accomplishment.
